R.I.P. Colt

Today our hearts are broken as we grieve along with Wade, Rhonda, Jacob, and Neil over the passing of their little chocolate brown wiener dog, Colt. He will never be forgotten.

From Alfred Lord Tennyson's poem In Memoriam:27, 1850:
I hold it true, whate'er befall;
I feel it, when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all.

  2. Something wild, a coyote most likely, attacked him Thursday. Wade rushed him to the vet and they did surgery to patch his lung that was punctured, and we all were hoping that he would pull through! His rib was broken though, and he was pretty torn up. Then Fri. night he took a turn for the worse, his lung started filling with fluid and there just wasn't anything they could do to save him. :(

    1. That's too bad! I know how they feel, we thought Ripley would make it but alas, it wasn't meant to be. And then a hefty vet bill and no pet. :( thinking of you, Rhonda! Hugs!
