for Uncle Kale

Tragedy struck,
Our loved one was taken.
So unexplained,
But not mistaken.

Ashes to ashes,
And dust to dust.
It feels so final,
But trust God we must.

Our dearest uncle,
He lived and loved so well,
There was no one
Quite like Uncle Kale.

Hearts are still heavy,
But tears have dried.
Prayers ascended,
As we cried.

God was there,
His love was felt.
The care from friends
Our hearts did melt.

We'll always miss him,
Life won't be the same.
But the Everlasting Arms
Will ease the pain.
