highlights and lowlights!

Since blogging in detail about the past week seems a daunting task, I will merely hit the highlights and languish the lowlights!


It RAINED. A LOT!!!

The sun shone! some.

We took Glendon and Annie out Monday night and stuffed ourselves with sumptuous sushi from Sake Cafe. Then we finished the farewell supper out with yummy yogurt from 32 Degrees! {BTW, what keystrokes produce the lil degree circle?!}

Bombed in for hamburgers at my folks on Tuesday eve.

Happy 8th Anniversary to us for Wednesday, Feb. 20! Was kind of a coinky-dink that Katie led one of the songs that we had sung on our wedding, "Saviour, Hear Us We Pray," for school assembly that morning!

Didn't go out for a romantic anniversary celebration supper. YET. Instead, we took pizza and semi-melted, Bluebell ice cream sandwiches over to Glendon's Wednesday evening. Annie's parents were there too, since they were down to help with the big move.

Tried TWICE and FAILED to get allergy shots this week, because one day they were too busy, and the next day the doc had been called over to the hospital for an emergency. Argh!!!

Cried goodbye to our fleeing friends...and boohooed that Becca is longer close by...

My first SBM {school board meeting} for this era is now history. Sucked up some good advice along with some smashing, strawberry lemonade!

The mystery of why the closet floor was inexplicably WET was solved! Our 17 year old water had given up the ghost and died a watery death!

Of course, my most precious things  {cards that danl and I gave each other during our engagement and 1st year, wedding cards, wedding book etc.} were in cardboard boxes on the closet floor! Once we discovered how extensive the damage was, some fuzzy green mold had sprouted along the edges! How can I demoldify them? I am not willing to throw them away!

My children sang with such amazing zeal during Friday morning devotions, that they made far more noise than the whole school had made Thursday morning when we had all sung together! Totally uplifting!!

Wade and family spent most of yesterday with us for the installation and initiation of a new water heater! YAY!

MamaLisa came up yesterday evening and took us out for an enjoyable Chinese supper! THANKS! :)

SPRING BREAK begins next week Wednesday!

The monstrous inflatable Mountain Dew can that I had hoped to hang from the classroom ceiling, now slumpeth over the chair. FLAT.

Today, the sun shineth, the rain ceaseth for the time being, and our stomachs rumbleth. I must needs go get some lunch prepared!
